I asked Danielle to clip Mabels nails as I chickened out of it! Mabel is a very lively 8 month old lab and Danielle was fantastic with her. Gave her a lick mat and explained to me what she was doing every step of the way. She was very calm and gentle. Mabel, I think, is unaware that her nails were done! Thank you Danielle 😊

I cannot thank Danielle and her colleague enough for helping us care for our cockapoo Summer, who had a particularly nasty post- surgery wound which had degraded and needed to heal with second intention. The wound could have gone one of two ways and Danielle recognised immediately how serious the situation was and got her seen by our local vets for another emergency debridement. She was so caring and knowledgeable and was with us for the long haul (at least 8 weeks). She was always available on the other end of the phone if I was worried about anything and also helped with ordering any medical supplies if we ran out. She coached us with how to care for the wound ourselves and genuinely cared how Summer was doing, even clipping her nails which had got too long as she was crated for her whole recovery. I would not hesitate to use Danielle's services again in the future and she is welcome to pop round for a cuppa whenever she is in the area.

I honestly can’t recommend Danielle at The County Vet highly enough. My dog, Elmo, requires his bladder to be manually expressed twice a day following spinal surgery four years ago. Since his operation, this has always been something I’ve done myself, which has made the thought of going away as a family almost impossible. After reaching out on social media in the hope of finding someone experienced enough to care for him, Danielle got in touch, and I’m so incredibly grateful that she did. From our very first meeting, I felt completely at ease. Danielle took the time to come to our home for an initial consultation, watched my technique, and then demonstrated her own, ensuring I was fully confident and reassured before we left. That level of care, professionalism and attention to detail meant everything to me. Booking our family holiday simply wouldn’t have been possible without feeling 100% confident that Elmo was in the right hands. For seven days, Danielle visited twice a day to care for Elmo, and every single visit came with thoughtful, detailed updates and photos. Those messages gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to truly switch off and enjoy precious time together as a family, knowing Elmo was receiving exceptional care. Although we had family staying at our home to look after our three pugs while we were away, Danielle still made a point of checking in on all of them during every visit. She made sure they were happy, comfortable and coping well in the extreme heat, giving them just as much love and attention as Elmo. It really showed that she genuinely cares about every animal she meets, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Danielle has been nothing short of exceptional. Her knowledge, compassion, professionalism and genuine love for animals shine through in everything she does. Finding someone you trust completely with a pet who has complex medical needs is incredibly rare, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. Thanks to Danielle, we were able to enjoy our family holiday with complete peace of mind, knowing all three of our dogs were in the very best hands. We will absolutely be using her services again in the future, and I honestly can’t thank her enough.

Pippin the Ragdoll
Danielle did a fantastic job clipping our ragdoll Pippin's nails and giving him a hygiene trim. He has very long fur, so he needs regular trimming to keep him clean. Danielle was extremely professional and friendly and helped Pippin remain calm and relaxed throughout the treatment. I was surprised at how well Pippin responded as it was his first time being clipped and trimmed, I thought he would be nervous, but it was very quick and efficient. Thank you, Danielle. We hope to have you back in future 😊.
